| | Nevermore |
Founded by the trinity consisted of Khulain, the Chosen Warrior of Chaos, Abraxis, the Dark Elven Disciple of Khaine, and Chuckie, the Goblin Shaman, Nevermore is an alliance of the 3 races of Destruction in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
Our goal: To grow in strength and numbers, and leave our mark on the battles raging throughout WAR in the name of Destruction, flying our banner proudly from the tops of the many keeps and fortresses throughout the different realms.
The founders of Nevermore, as well as many of the elder members and officers, are all players who know each other outside of the game, and Nevermore is our method of being able to play together with our friends and family. Community is important in MMO's, and as such, we will be seeking out a more mature community in the form of RP servers (hopefully open world RvR RP). That does not mean, however, that roleplaying is a requirement for this guild. Backstories and roleplaying are encouraged, but by no means required.
The point is to have a place where you can gather with like minded players, coordinate events, and play with people you enjoy playing with. That is the purpose of Nevermore. I believe I speak for all of the founding members when I say we are very excited about the promise of both WAR, and Nevermore, and are anxiously awaiting the launch.
If you are a member, be sure to keep up to date with the calendar and guild events, as well as participating on the guild forums. The Nevermore homepage is now up and running, and we are looking forward to the arrival of many of our anticipated members.

Status: Maintenance in progress
Greetings!
On Thursday 01/08/09 at 7:00 AM EST all North American servers will be coming down for an update to the servers with Oceanic servers following shortly after at 9:00 AM EST. We anticipate that North American Servers will be back online before 11:00 AM EST (1:00 AM WDT) and Oceanic before 12:00 PM EST (4:00 AM WDT). This update is part of our continuing efforts to improve server stability.
After monitoring the Fortress population changes we implemented on several North American servers yesterday, we are happy to say that none of the servers experienced Fortress siege crashes. We are also pushing this change live to all servers during today's update.
As always, please check the WAR Herald for updates regarding this downtime.
Thank you for your continued support!
UPDATE: 01/08/09 7:05 AM EST - All North American servers are now offline for the update. Also added a new note about Fortress population change implementation. Greetings! The epic battle between the forces of Order and Destruction rages on across the lands. Dark Elf against High Elf, Dwarfs pitted against their age old enemy the Greenskins, and the upstart Humans of Order wage a bitter battle against the Forces of Chaos. Sometimes epic warfare is halted by the powerful forces of server instability. The Mythic team is fighting a WAR of our own against these Fortress Siege stability issues and is now prepared to take the next step towards the long-term goal of providing our players with a truly epic Tier 4 Campaign. We will be implementing more improvements in the coming weeks however this initial change will allow more players to experience the Tier 4 campaign to its fullest. Players on the Phoenix Throne, Dark Crag, Vortex, and Darklands servers (with a planned deployment to all live servers to follow in the coming days) will immediately notice a change to the way that the Tier 4 Racial Pairing Fortress sieges function. We will be implementing a hard cap on the total number of players that are able to occupy the Fortress area during a siege. The purpose of this change is twofold: to improve server stability, and allow even more players to participate in, and benefit from, capital city sieges. When the Fortress population reaches certain population thresholds, players who are attempting to enter the area of the besieged Fortress that are Rank 35 and below will be teleported to the warcamp for the region they are in. When the next area population threshold has been met, players that are Rank 37 and below will be teleported to the warcamp. The final population threshold applies to players that are Rank 39 and below. Once the total population cap has been met for the area surrounding the Fortress, all players that attempt to enter the area will be teleported back to the region’s warcamp. It’s very important to note that the majority our players’ Fortress siege experience should not be noticeably affected by this change. Hundreds of players will still be able to participate in taking the Fortress from their enemies. This measure will help to ensure that players are able to experience these epic battles in a more reliable manner. Because of the strategic advantage that players will always have when defending a Fortress, the attacking forces will have a numeric advantage when attempting to wrest control of a Fortress from the opposing realm. So get out there, lay waste to your enemies, drive their forces before you on the field of battle and be sure to choose your allies wisely. Status: Update CompleteGreetings! We will be bringing the Vortex server offline for a server update to improve stability at 2:30 PM EST. We anticipate that Vortex will be back online no later than 5:00 PM EST. We apologize for the short notice and thank you for your continued support. Update 3:00 PM EST - Vortex is Online. We'll see you in game!
Update: 2:33 PM EST - Vortex is offline for a server update. WAAAGH!!! It's hard to believe it's been a year already since the last Greeny Awards. TheGreenskin.com is once again hosting its second annual people's choice awards for their favorite WAR Community Sites. You can now visit The Greenskin and show your support for your favorite Fansite and Forums, nominations are only open for a limited time and voting will start next Monday, January 12. This contest is great for finding new, or little known sites that work hard to make your experience playing WAR even better! Thanks from all of us at Mythic to the staff and players that have made the WAR Community a great one. We look forward to your continued support and the hard work for many Greenies to come...good luck! The GOA Community team has put together this fun and informative article discussing some of the most beautiful, fun, and intriguing areas that can be found in WAR. Enjoy! The Warhammer World is a vast and varied place filled with dark
dungeons, lofty peaks, grim fortresses, blood-soaked plains and dense
forests. From the staggering natural beauty of Ulthuan to the ordered
symmetry of Dwarf mines and the riotously haphazard Orcish warcamps,
every zone is unique. No doubt you have your own favorite places.
Perhaps you saw it unfold before you for the first time and your
jaw dropped, perhaps it was the site of your favorite battle or you
just really, really liked the way things were laid out. Everyone has
their own reasons for liking a place. We thought we'd share ours with you. Maybe you'll see familiar places
in a new way or maybe you'll be tempted to put your wandering boots on
and savor the scenery in a place you've never been to before. So now, in no particular order, here are a handful of places in-game that are special to our staff. We'd love to hear yours. Greetings! We've been hard at work here in the studio churning out the following Hot Fixes for you today: Content- The Deathclaw Cold Ones that assault the High Elf Chapter 22 hub will no longer attack players.
Quests and Public QuestsQuests- Betrayal from Within: Adjusted the waypoints on this quest so that they correctly lead players to the Bastion Stair entrance.
- Broken Core: Fixed an issue which was preventing Squig Herder players from completing this quest because they could not choose a reward.
- Eyes of the Spy: Fixed an issue with the Raven Caller quest item which sometimes allowed more than one raven to be summoned.
- Bitter Blood: This quest will now reward players with an appropriate amount of experience for its level.
Items- Traugonaith’s Pummelers: This item will now reduce the chance of a Marauder’s attack being blocked, rather than increasing the chance that the Marauder blocks an attack.
- Focus of Conquest: This item now has appropriate stats for its level.
- Bloodfist Greatsword: This item will now correctly proc the effect described in the item's tooltip.
- Nursery Treader Shinsteels: The erroneous race and career requirements on this item have been corrected.
- Black Guard Chaperone Dreadhelm: An erroneous level requirement on this item had been corrected.
Realm vs. Realm- Players on Open Realm vs. Realm servers will now be correctly flagged for RvR when spawning into contested capital city scenarios.

GuildPortal Change Log Entry
Jan 1, 09 2:16 PM
Just a heads up: due to request, we will be moving back toward integration with WoW in-game roster information via an Add-On, instead of directly connecting to the armory. This will require uploading a saved variables file (instructions will be given) to update your roster info. However, there are many benefits. For one, rank names will again show (instead of just numbers), the add-on also supports uploading to even follow-ups so that you don't have to manually enter drops, and more functionality can be added as we go. Just want to give some notice before it happens, within the next couple days. This will not be the same add-on we used to run, but a new one. More details will follow!
